The homely environment has been altered for active and inquisitive toddlers. The environment allows for physical activity, child choice and self-directed play, with small groups, and supportive teaching to enhance the brain development.
The rooms are divided into different areas for art, music, exploratory materials, reading, pretend play with their own fort. The outdoor area has been built to encourage the development of large motor skills; a mould has been developed for the children to walk up and down. The outside gardens are to explore and learn about nature.
Learning experiences are planned and taken from the toddler’s interest, to build independence, and to enhance social skills, and confidence to reach their individual potential and prepare for the preschool and beyond.
